JEE Main 2021 Result: Five facts you must know before the February session results

JEE Main February 2021 Paper 1 and 2 examination was held from 23 to 26 February. This was the first session examination held in Computer-based mode for Paper 1 and blended mode for Paper 2. Few known facts about the examination are rolled-out below.

The National Testing Agency to declare the JEE Main 2021 results online on Monday, March 8. According to the media reports are likely to be declared in the late evening, at the official websites of Nodal Agency. Once announced, the candidates who appear for the examination can check their results online using Enrolment Number and other login credentials.

The results of the JEE Main 2021 Papers 1 and 2 to be available on official websites i.e. ntaresults.nic.in, jeemain.nta.nic.in, nta.ac.in, among others. The candidates who have answered the February 2021 session JEE Main Paper 1 for B.E/ B.Tech or Paper 2 for B.Arch/ B.Planning admissions for session 2021-22 can check their results online after the declaration.

Here are the tips that every student should know while going to check JEE Main Feb 2021 results online-

1. Method of determining merit: Conversion of the raw score in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Total into NTA scores. Overall merit shall be prepared by merging NTA scores of all shifts of all days. 

2. Method of resolving ties: Tie between candidates obtaining equal Total NTA scores in Paper 1: B.E./B.Tech will be resolved in the following descending order:

  • NTA score in Mathematics, followed by
  • NTA score in Physics, followed by
  • NTA score in Chemistry, followed by
  • Candidates having a lesser ratio of negative to positive responses

3. NTA JEE Main Paper 1 Score: NTA scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate. The calculated NTA scores for all the shifts of session 1 will be declared by March, 2021. This shall comprise the NTA scores for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) and the total in B.E./B.Tech of JEE (Main) February – 2021 (Session 1).

4. Redressal System: According to the Official notification, NTA has established a Query Redressal System (QRS), an online web-enabled system developed by NTA. QRS is the platform based on web technology that primarily aims to enable the submission of queries/ grievances by the JEE Main registered candidates.

5. Previous Year Cut off & Results: Here are the last year's cut-off scores for Paper 1 (B.E, B.Tech).

The JEE Main February 2021 results are being expected to be declared on Monday, March 8 on the official website. More than 8 lakh candidates are waiting for their results. As per the reports, last year the JEE Main 2020 result was declared in a record time of just 7 days. The examination was held in the first week of September last year and the results were announced on 11th September 2020.
