According to recent reports, US Secretary of Defence Lloyd James Austin III is currently on a 3-day visit to India as both sides are currently holding talks to discuss emerging security issues in the Indo-Pacific region.
The meet is currently taking place at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and all three service chiefs are also present at the meet. According to reports, the biggest point of discussion would be China's growing military presence in the South China Sea and Indo-Pacific region.

In addition to all of this, It is also expected that Security delegations from both sides will discuss India's role in the Afganistan peace process as New Delhi has invested billions of dollars in rebuilding Afganistan's infrastructure.
