Indian Army Major arrested by Pune City Police, in connection with recruitment Paper leak

A Major of the Indian Army has been arrested by Pune city Police, in connection with the Army recruitment exam 2021 paper leak. He has been accused in paper leak case from Tamil Nadu.

On Monday, a Major of the Indian Army is reportedly arrested from Tamil Nadu. Pune police arrested the 45-year-old Major rank officer in connection with the recruitment exam (28 February) paper leak case. This is the seventh arrest in this case after two Army personnel was arrested recently on the basis of Millitary Intelligence. 

"A Major of the Indian Army arrested by Pune city Police, in connection with Army recruitment exam paper leak case from Tamil Nadu, was produced before Pune court today and has been sent to police custody till 15th March," News Agency ANI reported.

The case has been registered against the Army Major on the basis of inputs received by the Police through Military Intelligence. The officer is the seventh person to be arrested in the paper leak case.

The Indian Army has canceled the recruitment paper that was allegedly found leaked hours before the starting of the examination on February 28. In connection to the paper-leak several arrests were made by the agencies.

Lodging an inquiry Indian Army recently arrested two of its Army personnel and three others after the paper of the Army Relation Recruitment exam that was scheduled for 28 February, found leaked. The exam, which was to take place in Pune and 40 other centers.
