India Post Recruitment 2020: 10th Pass jobs open in Jharkhand, Punjab, and North-East circle

India Post, Ministry of Communications has released the recruitment notification for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak posts. Eligible candidates can apply for GDS vacancies open in Jharkhand, Punjab, and North-East from 12 Nov to 11 Dec 2020.

Indian Postal Department has releases job notification for the 2582 posts of GDS, Branch Postmaster, and Assistant Branch Postmaster in North-East, Punjab, and Jharkhand states. Eligible candidates can apply online against the 2582 posts open in Northeast, Jharkhand and Punjab circles from 12 November 2020 onwards at appost.in/gds.

According to the notification, a total 1118 vacancies have been announced for the Jharkhand circle, 948 posts for the North-East, and 516 for Punjab postal circle. Interested candidates can apply online for India Post GDS recruitment 2020-21 through India post official GDS portal- www.appost.in. The last date for the Application would be 11 December 2020.

A candidate can apply for one circle among the vacancies announced among the Punjab, Jharkhand, and Northeast circle.The vacancies are open under Cycle 3 for the posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Gramin Dak Sevak. Earlier, in Cycle 2, India Post had released GDS vacancies for HP Cirlce at the portal.

The Job Profile of Dak Sevaks will include all functions of viz sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail and any other duties assigned by Postmaster/ Sub Postmaster.

Notification for Jharkhand, Punjab and North East Circles has started from 12 November 2020. The last date for the Application will be 11 December 2020. Here're the detailed vacancy notifications- Jharkhand (1118 Posts)North Eastern (948 Posts), and Punjab (516 Posts).

Age: The minimum and maximum of age for the purpose of engagement to GDS posts shall be 18 and 40 years respectively as on 12.11.2020 the date of notification of the vacancies.

Educational Qualification:

Branch Post Master- Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English.

Dak Sevak- Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English.

Steps to Apply:

Stage 1. Registration Initially candidate has to register in the Registration module once per cycle and obtain unique registration number.

Stage 2. Fee Payment UR/OBC/EWS Male/Trans-man need to make fee payment. In Case of online payment, if no confirmation is received after the deduction of amount from candidate's bank account, candidates can await upto 72 Hours for settlement. Offline payments can be made at any Head Post Office. List of Post Offices

Stage 3. Apply Online- Step 1. Fill Application, Step 2. Upload documents., Step 3. Submit Post preferences. Preview and take print out. Completion of these three steps will only be treated as submission of application.
