Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is going to hold its 34th Convocation program on the 15th of April, 2021 (Thursday). IGNOU during the 34th Convocation as on scheduled date i.e 15/04/2021 will issue Degrees, diplomas, and Certificates to the students who have registered. Approximately 2,35000 national and foreign students will be awarded IGNOU Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates in online mode and by post.
The 34th Convocation program of the university to be held on April 15, 2021, at Maidan Garhi. Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. Dr. Pokhriyal is expected to address the students who have passed their programmes and receiving IGNOU degree/ certificate or diplomas in the 34th Convocation Program. The Convocation will be held at Babasaheb Ambedkar Convention center of IGNOU's premises at Maidan Garhi. The event will start at 11 AM in the morning.
As a Chief Guest Union Education Minister, Dr. Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal will participate virtually. He is expected to issue online degrees to the students and shall also address them.
In view of the current scenario, IGNOU has decided to conduct 34th Convocation of the University through Online Virtual mode. In its official statement, University has said that the Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate will be sent to the eligible students by Post.

Students who have successfully passed their UG/ PG/ Diploma or Certificate Programmes in Term-end Examinations December 2019 and June 2020 are eligible for award of Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate at this Convocation. Eligible students were required to register themselves for obtaining the Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate and pay the requisite fee or Rs 600/- (For PG Certificate/ Certificate programmes the fee was Rs. 200/-) through Online mode.
