ICMR Jobs 2020- 150 Vacancies open in Research, Apply before 27 May

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has released job vacancies for freshers and experienced candidates. The ICMR has released 150 vacancies in ‘Research’ profile and the last date to apply is 27 May, 2020.

Eligibility for the Job

For applying to the position of ‘Junior Research Fellowship’, the candidate must be of maximum of 28 years-of-age (according to 30 September 2020). He/she should at least have 55% in the MSc/MA or any degree of same value.

Fees for filling form for the general/EWS/OBC is Rs.1500, for the SC/ST- Rs. 1200 and for PWD it is nil. The form will be filled online therefore, for paying the fees the candidate has to use online transaction mode such as Paytm, google pay, net banking, etc. The last date to apply for the job is 27 May, 2020.

Indian Council of Medical Research is a body regulated by the Indian government for the promotion of drugs and biomedical research. Unlike other bodies, the ICMR vacancies are present all around the year. ICMR regularly invites certain candidates to submit their resumes as a part of knowledge hunt. Whenever ICMR finds a suitable candidate, it would create a vacancy for that profile, instead of filling the wanted vacancies. This knowledge hunt usually happens for young doctors and biomedical scientists. The recruitment happens for scientists in grade A. Other grades of scientists are usually filled by internal promotion. The low-level service employees like maintenance and operations related unskilled labours would be recruited through tenders, on a contract basis.
