Haseen Dillruba: Taapsee Pannu Reveals She Was Not The First Choice For The Lead Role

With the release of Haseen Dilruba's trailer, everyone is praising Taapsee Pannu's screen presence. The film stars Vikrant Messi and Harshvardhan Rane in lead roles along with Taapsee. Haseen Dilruba is going to be a tremendous thriller with dark humor. The name of Taapsee's character is Rani Kashyap who is accused of murdering her husband Rishu (Vikrant Massey). 

Taapsee, who is considered to be Bollywood's strong actress, will be seen doing such a character for the first time but did you know that she was not the first choice for the film. She himself has made this disclosure about the film.

Taapsee says that 'Haseen Dilruba is such a film that when I first heard its original idea from Kanika (writer of the film) it was overwhelming. Unfortunately, I was not the first choice for the film and it came to me when all options were exhausted. They say that if it is for you then it will come to you only. The same has happened in this case as well.

Taapsee further said, 'I am glad that I got a chance to experiment with my look and performance with this because I am definitely not fit for this kind of character, and we all like to take risks.'

The film, which also stars Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane, is about a woman whose heart yearns to live like imprisoned words, but who finds herself embroiled in the murder of her husband. Vikrant describes the film as a perfect blend of humor, quirkiness, revenge, and romance. He said, "I hope it will surprise the audience as much as I was surprised to hear it for the first time. It was an exciting shooting experience."

Harshvardhan feels honored to be in the same frame with the 'best talent of the country'. He said, "Taapsee and Vikrant have one thing in common that you can never understand when they are joking when they are serious. I always had to look for the smallest details to understand his jokes and excuses."
