HPUs Assistant Engineers Recruitment 2020-21:  Online Registration Application (ORA) in reference to Haryana Power Utilities Advertisement No.: Rectt./HPUs/GATE-2019/ 2020 commenced on the 7th Date of December 2020 (07.12.2020) with the Last Date ending on the 8th Date of January 2021 (08.01.2021) for Non-Interview GATE-2019 / GATE-2020 Qualified Candidates with Valid Scores. Portals for Online Registration Application (www.hvpn.org.inwww.hpgcl.org.inwww.uhbvn.org.inwww.dhbvn.org.in)  

The Candidates meeting with HPU stipulated Eligibility Criteria including Education Qualification (Peruse Advertisement Rectt./HPUs/GATE-2019/ 2020) for the Posts 01) Assistant Engineer (Electrical) under Electrical Cadre: 168 Vacancies; 02) Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) under Electrical Cadre: 15 Vacancies and 03) Assistant Engineer (Civil) under Civil Cadre: 18 Vacancies 

Eligibility Criteria: (As On 08.01.2021): Un-Reserved Category Candidates should have attained Minimum 20 Years and must not exceed 42 Years.  Relaxation in Upper Age Limit Community-wise. Educational Qualification: *The Applicant is required to fill up the Normalized Marks (out of 100) obtained in GATE-2019 or GATE-2020, whichever is higher, during online submission of the Online Registration Application.  Besides this, Educational Qualifications must be from any Institution / University / Board Duly Recognized by the State Government or from any Institute duly incorporated by Act of Legislature / Indian Act of Parliament.

Selection Process:

The Selection Process to the Posts of Assistant Engineer consist of the Marks obtained (80% Normalized Marks out of 100) 80 Marks in the corresponding Paper of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2019 or GATE-2020) and 20 Marks for Socio-Economic Criteria and Experience.  

There shall be No interview for the Posts being advertised by HPUs. Appointments will be made on the basis of the the GATE-2019 or GATE-2020 Result and Socio-Economic Criteria and Experience. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Result of 2018 or Prior will not be valid.  The Scheme of the Marks in respect of Selection to Assistant Engineer (Group “B”) Post shall comprise Total 100 Marks, as detailed in the Advertisement.   

Weightage of GATE Examination: 80 Marks [Normalized GATE Marks (out of 100) would be converted / scaled out of 80 Marks by multiplying with 0.8]. Socio-Economic Criteria and Experience: 20 Marks: The Marks for Experience and some Objective Socio-Economic Criteria are to be allocated as explained in the Advertisement. 

Selection Process:  Selection to the Post of Assistant Engineer shall be conducted as explained in the subsequent Lines.  

  1. The Candidates, who have acquired the essential Qualification as mentioned under Sr. No. 03 hereinabove and must have qualified the GATE-2019 or GATE- 2020 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering - 2019 or 2020) as the case may be, conducted by Designated Indian Institute Technology (IIT) in the corresponding paper; i.e., Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Civil Engineering (CE) shall only be Eligible to be considered for Selection.  
  2. Selection of the Candidates in each Category would be done by the HPUsfrom the eligible candidates as given in para-(i) above, on the basis of the Result of the GATE-2019 or GATE- 2020 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering - 2019 or 2020) & Socio-economic criteria and Experience, in the respective discipline as per the Requirement of Haryana Power Utilities (HPUs.)  
  3. The Qualifying Marks in respect of the GATE - 2019 or GATE-2020 (Minimum Cut-off) shall be as declared by the GATE-2019 or GATE- 2020 Organizing Institute; viz., the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2019 & Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 2020 for respective GATE Paper / Discipline / Category.

I) The Male Candidates belonging to Un-Reserved Category including Dependent Son of Ex-Servicemen of Haryana: Rs. 500/- 

   Male Candidates under All Reserved Categories of other States:  Rs. 500/-

II) The Female Candidates belonging to (General and Reserved) Categories from all States:  Rs. 125/- 

III) Male Candidates under SC / BC-A / BC-B / ESM / EWS Categories of Haryana only:  Rs. 125/-
