GUBEDCET 2020 Result: Gauhati University set to declare results, online by 20 December

Gauhati University is all set to declare the results of B.Ed CET 2020 exam, held on 29 November. Concluding the evaluation of BEDCET 2020 paper 1, 2 University to announce entrance-test results along with score card, at gauhati.ac.in.

Gauhati University would be announcing the GU B.ED Common Entrance Test 2020 results, shortly. The university will display the results online at official site of the Gauhati University i.e gauhati.ac.in. Candidates who have appeared for the GUBEDCET 2020 entrance test, will be able to check their results, online at the official site.

Earlier, Gauhati University conducted the Common Entrance Test for B.Ed admissions, on scheduled November 29, 2020. As many as 1.3 lakh candidates had registered for the Common Entrance Test. The examination was conducted following the social-distancing, at allotted centres. Following the schedule, University displayed the Common Entrance Test Answer key.

According to the sources, University would release Merit list on the basis of score of candidates in the BED CET 2020. A list of candidates qulify the entrance test will be published at www.gauhati.ac.in. University Admission cell conducted the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (GUBEDCET - 2020) for facilitating admission into 2 year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme, for the academic session 2021-23.

Preparation of GUBEDCET 2020 Merit list:

Gauhati University would be releasing the Merit list, on the basis of marks obtained in GUBEDCET2020. In case of a tie, i.e when two or more candidates obtain equal marks, inter-se merit of such candidates shall be decided as follows:

i. Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.

ii. Resolution by number of unanswered questions. Candidate with less number of unanswered questions will be given better rank.

iii. If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates with higher age will be given better rank.

Note- For every right answer, 4 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted. There will no marking for un-attempted questions.
