Netflix's present Ginny Weds Sunny starring Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam as the lead. The movie showcases the old Bollywood stereotypes like “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Chandni”. It is to be said that GInny Weds Sunny is a Romantic comedy movie but neither it is a romantic or nor a comedy. If it would be released in the 90s then it would be a great hit but when it comes today, people need more creativity in the plot. 

Whereas people know Vikrant Massey from a masterpiece like “A Death In The Gunj”, “Chappak”, “Broken” etc, Ginny weds Sunny movie could be a little restrained. If we are talking about Yami Gautam, her acting skills have always been applauded in the movies like Vicky Donor and URI.

Ginny weds Sunny Plot

The story revolves around Massey and his Punjabi parents who just wished to fix his son’s marriage. Sunny (Massey) used to make tik tok videos in his free time.  They even hired the fixer who is the mother of Ginny (Yami). Ginny used to be the crush of Sunny. The marriage fixer fixes Sunny’s marriage with Ayesh Raza and this is little comedy in it. The movie is all about marriage with some Indian traditions, ceremonies, dances, etc. 

Ginny weds Sunny review as a love triangle in the movie as the audience can predict by watching any love story. Yami’s mother in this movie instructs Sunny on how to win a girl's heart. Overall the movie is a stretched tik tok video. The acting part of Yami and Vikrant is quite good but a little bit cheesy. The family showcasing the authentic Indian family who wants his son to get married. Besides that, the family is irritating but still a family. Some small bits of Vikrant and Ayesha make the couple cute.

Verdict

If you are a fan of Vikrant Massey or Yami Gautam then you should definitely have a look at it. There is a whole feeling of watching an Indian wedding scene with a lot of good music in it. The plot can be more interesting to uplift the acting talent of the amazingly good actors like Vikrant and Yami. Overall the movie is completely wistful but it can be a time watch especially for the songs and wardrobe of Yami Gautam. Ginny weds Sunny Review would be not good as compared to other works by the actors.
