Ek Villain Returns Trailer Review: Get Ready To Witness A High Octane Serial Killer Thriller

The trailer for Ek Villain Returns, starring John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria, is now out. The trailer begins with JD Chakravarthy providing a brief synopsis of the villainy that occurred in the first film, and we are immediately placed into the new reality where there is a killer on the loose, killing women who refuse to reciprocate their stalker's love. The trailer teases a mystery in which we are kept in the dark about who the true enemy is. Arjun and John have a few fights. Tara and Disha, the women, look to play wicked roles as well. If you've seen prior Mohit Suri films like Malang or Ek Villain, you'll recognize the director's signature tone here. 

Ek Villain Returns trailer also includes a reprised version of 'Galliyan.' Following the release of the first film in 2014, the song became fairly famous. The music in the film was composed by Ankit Tiwari, Tanishk Bagchi, and Kaushik-Guudu.

Aditya Roy Kapur was originally signed to play the role currently being played by Arjun Kapoor but he backed out later owing to creative differences. Talking about the film, Mohit Suri said, "Ek Villain was a labor of love and a passionate endeavor for me. The amount of affection I still receive for Ek Villain astounds me. I am confident that with Ek Villain Returns, the affection will only grow stronger. While I cannot reveal much about the film, I can guarantee you that it will be an exciting rollercoaster journey."
