Delhi govt launches job portal (jobs.delhi.gov.in) to help people seeking jobs

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday launches Delhi govt's job portal. Earlier Delhi Employment Minister Gopal Rai said that AAP Government is directing to launch a special programme to generate more employment prospects in Delhi. This move aims to revive the Capital’s Economy which was affected due to the lockdown, said Gopal Rai on Sunday.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launches a job portal (jobs.delhi.gov.in) where the companies looking to recruit and aspirants seeking jobs can register themselves using their Mobile nos. "We have managed to arrest the spread of COVID-19 in Delhi. Now there is a need to bring the city's economy back on the fast track. After the launch of the portal, people will not need to apply for jobs at several places. The government will ensure that maximum applicants get employment," the minister said.

A 12 member expert committee was formed previous month to explore economic reform measures in order to help businesses recover from the impact of COVID-19. The panel is carrying out a inclusive analysis and putting forward propositions regarding dealings that should be initiated by various departments, autonomous bodies, local bodies and the MCDs to help people and trades during the pandemic.

He added that many people are facing trouble in finding jobs and portals to apply for jobs in accordance to their qualification. “In the next few days, the government will launch a job portal, which will act as a common platform for both employers and job seekers,” Rai said.
