CTET Paper-2 Exam Postponed Due to Server Problem, New Date To Be Released Soon

CBSE CTET December 16, 2nd paper exam has been postponed due to server error. Earlier the exam was supposed to be conducted on Thursday, December 16 in the second shift from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-2 exam which was supposed to be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, in shift-2 has been postponed. According to the social media reports and online educators, the technical glitch most probably of 'server-down' has caused the postponement of the paper-2 exam. The new date of examination is yet to be decided.

In the later afternoon, it was reported in the local media reports that at some of the CTET exam centers the server went down before the beginning of the examination. The incident left the candidates awestruck and worried. Later in the developments, the paper was announced postponed.

Further, it has been clarified that only the second shift paper of December 16, 2021, is postponed. The first shift exam was earlier held successfully and stands valid.  

Amid this speculations are being made on social media that the paper is postponed due to the leak. It is hereby clarified that there are no reports of paper-leak at any of the exam centres. Hence, the candidates should not believe in rumors.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to conduct the CTET December 2021 examination from December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2022. The test includes paper-1 and paper-2 exams scheduled into two consecutive shifts. The first shift exam on Thursday was reportedly held successfully. 

The CTET Paper 2 exam is scheduled to be held in shift-2, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. As many as 150 questions will have to be attempted by the candidates in a time duration of 150 minutes. The exam will consist of following topics-

(i) Child Development & Pedagogy(compulsory)-30 MCQs  

(ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs  

(iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs 

(iv) Mathematics and Science 60 MCQs (for Mathematics and Science teacher) OR 

(v) Social Studies/Social Science 60 MCQs 60 Marks (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher)

The new exam date of CBSE CTET December 16 postponed paper-2 has not been announced yet. As soon the CBSE makes the announcement regarding the new date, the same will be notified here. Hence, the concerned are advised to keep a check at the website ctet.nic.in for exam-related announcements.
