CLAT 2020 Result: Consortium declares LLB, LLM Merit list & Cut off at consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Consortium of National Law Universities has declared CLAT 2020 result on Monday. Declaration of CLAT results and Merit list for UG, PG & PhD courses are scheduled on October 5, 2020. Counseling registration to start from October 6, onwards.

The Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities has announced CLAT 2020 result for UG and PG courses. After evaluation of Common Law Aptitude Tets (CLAT) 2020 online exam held on September 28, 2020 Consortium declares CLAT 2020 result on October 5, 2020 (Monday). Candidates who participated in CLAT UG/ PG / PhD online exam 2020 on 28th September, 2020 will be able to check availability of Common Law Aptitude Test results for LLB / LLM / PhD courses from web site consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

In its congratulatory message, CLAT council says "Congratulations CLAT-2020 Aspirants! The Consortium of National Law Universities has now published the Consolidated Merit List of CLAT-2020 on the Consortium’s website. Further, each candidate can check the category rank and other details through their individual login ids and can download their score card".

Consortium had scheduled to declare CLAT result on October 5, 2020. A detailed merit list has been published individually for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research courses at official web site. Following the examination, officials of Consortium conducted a press briefing on Common Law Entrance Test. As per schedule, CLAT Merit List will also be prepared on the 5th October, 2020. Payment of Counselling Fee (Rs 50,000/) to be held from 6th October to 7th October, 2020 and Admission through Counseling to take place between 9 -15 October, 2020.

Earlier Consortium organized the CLAT entrance test for determining eligibility to take admission into 22 National Law Universities around the country. The online examination was conducted on 28 September, 2020 following the Govt of India guidelines for Covid19. The CLAT examination was proposed on August 22, 2020 which later postponed to September month. As many as 3 lakh candidates appeared for the Online examination. Candidates appeared for the CLAT 2020 exam (UG/ PG/ PhD) for admission into B.A.LL.B (Hons.), Master of Cyber Law & Information Security (MCLIS), LLB, Ph.D. in Law and Post Graduate Diploma (Distance Education) in participating National Law Universities/ Colleges. Successive to the evaluation of 28 Sept online exam, Consortium has lined-up the CLAT result / merit list at result portal 

Candidates qualified the CLAT 2020 will be eligible to enroll for Admission Seat allotment in Law Universities including NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLU Jodhpur, HNLU Raipur, GNLU, Gandhinagar, RMLNLU Lucknow, RGNUL Punjab, CNLU Patna, NUALS Kochi, NLUO Odisha, NUSRL Ranchi, NLUJA Assam, DSNLU Visakhapatanam, TNNLU Tiruchirappalli, MNLU Mumbai, MNLU Nagpur, MNLU Aurangabad, HPNLU Shimla, DNLU Jabalpur and DBRANLU Haryana.

Consortium would decide category wise Cut off marks must be secured by a candidate in CLAT online exam for being eligible for the NLUs counseling. In 2019 CLAT cut off ranged between 91 to 119, different for different Law Universitites. Candidates will be able to check the CLAT 2020 cut off marks along witth the result notice. Candidates are also advised to visit CLAT 2020 website regularly for CLAT result/ Merit list/ Cut off / Cousneling and other admission related updates.

CLAT Post Result Activities: Consortium will announce the 1st provisional seat allotment list considering only those candidates who have completed the counselling registration process as given above. Candidates who are selected in the First List will have the following three options: a) Accept the allotted seat (Locking the Seat) By selecting this option, you agree to accept the allotted seat. No further changes will be considered. Candidate will not be upgraded to his / her higher option, even if vacancy arises at a later stage. Candidate has to upload all the required documents and make payment of requisite fee to the allotted NLU. For details kindly visit the website of the concerned NLU.

The Executive Committee in its meeting held on October 5, 2020 while approving the CLAT-2020 Result has also resolved that in order to give more time to the candidates to complete the process of registration for counselling, the Counselling Registration process will start at 9:00 a.m. instead of 12:00 noon on October 6, 2020, notice reads.

Participating National Law Universities reserve the right to change the total number of seats and break-up of seats as per their policy before the final allotment. The reservation policy is subject to change as decided by the concerned Government from time to time. The allotment of seats and the offer for admission under CLAT 2020 shall be provisional and shall not create any right of admission in favour of a candidate.
