Chandigarh Forest Department Jobs 2020: Apply for Forester, Forest Guard posts, before 20 October

Chandigarh Forest Department has published Forester and Forest Guard jobs notification for filling up of a total 20 posts. Department invites online applications from eligible and desirous candidates for the post of Forester, Forest Guard in Chandigarh Forest Department. Online applications can be filled from 29 Sept, 2020 onwards. Candidates ensuring the eligibility can apply online at www.fwdchd.in, on or before 20 October 2020.

Applications are invited on 06 posts of Forester & 14 posts of Forest Guard (on regular basis) in the scale of Rs 10300-34800+4400 & Rs 10300- 34800+ 3200 Grade Pay. Applications can be submitted only “ONLINE’ from 29 September 2020 upto 20 October 2020. A fee of Rs 200/- in case of SC/ ST/ Women category and Rs 300/- in case of General Category/ OBC candidate will be paid. Chandigarh Forester/ Forest Guard Required Eligibility:

The age limit for the posts of Forester and Forest Guard is 18-37 years. Age is to be calculated on 01.09.2020. Age relaxation to the SC and OBC candidate will be given against reserved post and other categories as per the rules/instructions issued by Govt. of India/Chandigarh Administration in this regard.

Forester: 10+2 examination passed from a recognized Board or Institute with the following two subject:- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Agriculture OR Second division matriculate with certificate from ITI in Surveying/ Draughtsman (Civil)/ Civil Engineering obtained from a recognised Institute

Forest Guard: A candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognised Board or Institute OR matriculate with diploma in Surveying / Draughtsman (civil)/ Civil Engineering obtained from a recognised Institute.

Chandigarh Forest Guard Jobs 2020 Apply Online:

Candidates are required to apply online through website. Online applications can submitted on the website www.chandigarhforest.gov.in from 29.09.2020 and last date for submission of online applications is 20 October 2020. Before applying for the post of Forester & Forest Guard, candidate must ensure that he/ she fulfils all the eligibility conditions mentioned in the advertisement. Selection Process:

Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in the written test. Chandigarh Forest Guard / Forester exam will be held tentatively in mid December 2020. A merit list for selection will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in Objective Type Test. Objective type test of 80 marks will be conducted and Qualifying marks for test will be 40% for all candidates. Only successful candidates in order of merit based on written examination shall be called for physical test and it will be conducted by the Department of Forest & Wildife. No Interview will be conducted.

The admissibility of the pay scales and pay matrix as defined by the Punjab Government will be adopted. Grade Pay for Forester and Forest Forest Guard (on regular basis) to be Rs 10300-34800+4400 & Rs 10300- 34800+ 3200 Grade Pay. During the Probation period of 03 years, “Fixed Monthly Emoluments” equivalent to minimum of the pay band of the post will be paid and grade pay, increment or any other allowances except travelling allowance will not be paid.

Chandigarh Forest Guard Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Written test consisting of Multiple choice questions will be conducted tentatively in mid December. Exam will consist of 80 questions each carrying one mark. A total 2 hrs time to be allotted to candidates to answer the exam. A total 10 questions to be asked from English (Grammar), 25 questions will be based on Geography, General Science & Current Affairs, 20 Questions from Math (Simple arithmetic/Algebra) 10th level, 10 questions on Basic Computer knowledge and 15 questions on Mental Aptitude test.

Exam date & admit card:

To download the admit card, candidates will visit the website chandigarhforest.gov.in and then click on ‘Public Notice- Recruitment- 2020’. Which will take them to the same recruitment portal where you had filled your online application form. The selected candidates shall be "Fixed Monthly Emoluments which will be equivalent to the minimum of the pay band of the post or DC rate, whichever is higher during three years period of probation
