Celebrities React To Raju Srivastava's Death: Bollywood Stars Pay Tribute To The Legendary Comedian

At the age of 58, comedian Raju Srivastava passed away on September 21. Many Bollywood Celebrities & showbiz personalities have paid tribute to the veteran Stand-up comedian Raju Srivastav.

The entire nation is mourning the death of Legendary Stand-up comedian Raju Srivastava, the man who brought a drastic change in the Indian Stand-up comedy industry. Inspired by him, the entire new generation of Indian stand-up comics took over the entertainment industry by storm. 

At the age of 58, legendary comic Raju Srivastava passed away. He was a student at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). On August 10, Raju Srivastava experienced a heart attack and required hospitalization after reporting chest pains while using a treadmill at the gym. He underwent an angioplasty the following day as well. The veteran stand-up comedian Raju Srivastav has received tributes from numerous Bollywood celebrities and industry figures.

Celebrities React To Raju Srivastava's Death

Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, famed for the success of The Kashmir Files, has left a heartfelt note for the fallen legend. He wrote, "You were a true legend of stand-up comedy."

Anurag Thakur, Union Minister for I&B and Youth Affairs & Sports, expressed his grief & wrote on Twitter, "Saddened by the demise of Shri Raju Srivastava ji, a great artist, a lively person and an inspiration to many artists with his artistic talent. His passing marks the end of the era of a genre of comedy, it is not possible to fill the void created by his death."

Screenwriter Prasoon Joshi is also saddened by the death of Raju Srivastava, he stated, "Really sad to hear about Raju Shrivastava’s unfortunate demise. A dear friend, a genius with an unmatchable insightful mind. It's such a devastating loss for the arts community. Just heartbreaking"

Stand-up comedian Vipul Goyal has also expressed his sadness & shared a photo of himself with Raju Srivastava. He wrote, "RIP LEGEND #rajusrivastava. Will always cherish this evening. Thank you for providing amusement and for influencing a new generation of comedians."

PM Narendra Modi himself has expressed his grief over the death of the legendary comedian. He said, "Raju Srivastava made our lives happier by making us laugh and being positive. He leaves us too soon, but because of his prolific work over the years, he will live on in the hearts of countless people. It is unfortunate that he has died. Greetings to his loved ones and admirers. Shanti Om."
