CBSE Class 12 Evaluation Criteria: A twelve-member committee constituted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to favour a combination of three years final exam marks from Class 10 & 11 as well as internal marks of Class 12. CBSE panel is expected to announce criteria in the coming days. Once the criteria is prepared, candidates will be eligible to temporarily assess their class 12 marks. However, the final marks will be released by the Central board on its official site.

According to the News18 sources, internal scores of Class 12 will also be considered in forming the evaluation criteria to prepare CBSE Class 12 marks. The final decision on the evaluation criteria can be taken in the coming weeks, sources added.

Earlier, as per the Supreme Court directions, CBSE is required to submit the evaluation criteria by June 17. The board’s panel committee was to share the criteria by Monday but, deferred due to some panellists losing their family member/s due to Covid. The panel has sought extra time and now is expected to submit the criteria by June 16, Wednesday. A twelve-member panel to finalize the decision.

As lacs of students are waiting for the CBSE Class 12 evaluation criteria, there have been reports claiming that recommendations are there to include Class 10 and Class 11 or even looking at the historical data as done by CBSE for Class 10 result. However, several experts have raised their concern in using Class 10 marks as a standardization parameter, insisting that is it the only ‘standardized’ result available with the board?

According to a report published in an English daily, CBSE may release Class 12 evaluation criteria on June 16 at the official website cbse.gov.in. However, the official announcement is yet to be made regarding the exact date of publishing of criteria of evaluation.

CBSE has cancelled the class 12 board exams 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 second wave across the country. A high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to cancel the examination last month.
