Bihar Needs Teachers: Demanding Recruitment on Over 3 Lakh Teacher Posts Campaign Launched on Twitter

On Monday, May 24, thousands of job aspirants joined a social media campaign on Twitter with hashtag "Bihar Needs Teachers (#Bihar_Needs_Teachers)" demanding an early display of Teachers' vacancies to be filled in the state government Secondary and High schools. According to the campaigners over 3 lakh Teachers' posts are vacant in the state and yet to be filled.

According to the 'Yuva Halla Bol' a supportive handle to the Teacher job aspirants in Bihar, passports of TET 2011 are unemployed and still waiting for the Teachers' vacancies. Since 2015, Bihar state government led by Nitish Kumar is yet to complete a single recruitment of Teachers' in the state.

It's high time when Bihar Government led by BJP & JDU realizes that they cannot play with youth emotions anymore. They cannot just ignore and delay Bihar's development.

On micro-blogging site Twitter, the online campaign launched by the Bihar Teacher job aspirants reached over 400k Tweets and was trending on 2nd spot in India.

Candidates alleged the state government of delaying the recruitments for years which is as an act of playing with the future of the students. "The recruitment of 94,000 Teachers in Bihar should be completed as soon as possible", an aspirant said.

"There are a total of 41762 primary and 26523 middle schools in the state of Bihar. 3276 schools in the state running with just 1 teacher. The teacher-student ratio in the state is 57. Government must act now. #Bihar_Needs_Teachers", Govind Mishra an aspirant said while contributing in the Online campaign.

According to the statistics provided by the Bihar Teacher job aspirants thousands of schools are running with only single teacher and facing acute shortage of Teachers. For last two years the state govt. is continuously announcing the Teachers' recruitment but, only on the papers.
