The official release of the film is 6 August 2021, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been postponed & the movie will now release on 24 December 2021.

Atrangi Ray Story:

A source close to the development revealed that the character of Akshay Kumar is created from the mind of Sara Ali Khan's character in the film.

Its shown in the film that Sara's character wants to date a very handsome man and after that, her imagination leads to the birth of Akshay Kumar's character. Although Akshay's character may not be real, Dhanush's character is real.
