The second release of the year is Monster, starring Ayyalam icon Mohanlal. The movie, which was helmed by Vysakh, was a commercial disappointment. Despite receiving a wide distribution, the movie struggled to make ₹5 crores in India (nett) during its week in theatres.
It's safe to assume that the movie bombed miserably in theatres. Both audiences and critics gave Monster moderate to unfavorable reviews.
