Hizbul Mujahideen commander Riyaz Naikoo killed in encounter in Beighpora, Pulwama in the early hours of today, reports Kamaljit Sandhu citing first confirmations from the Home Ministry.

Riyaz Naikoo Killed On Wednesday, the security forces achieved great success against terrorism in Kashmir Valley, said Security Forces. In 48 hours security forces killed five terrorists, including Hizbul's top commander Riyaz Naiku, in a terrorist encounter that took place at two different places in Avantipora. Riyaz Naiku had a prize of Rs 12 lakh. For eight years, security agencies were looking for Riyaz Naiku. Along with this, the security forces have also avenged the martyrdom of 8 soldiers of various Surabhabals including Colonel and Major who were martyred in a terrorist encounter in the last three days. Meanwhile, in view of the increasing terrorist incidents in the valley, mobile internet service has also been stopped at the moment.

Top Hizbul Mujahideen commander Riyaz Naikoo was  killed in an encounter after getting trapped in Beighbora district in Awantipora. Riyaz ,who was hiding from the past 8 years ,along with another terrorist,  got killed by security forces . Two encounters took place in Kashmir, one in Sharshalli village where two unidentified terrorists were killed and the other in Beighpora in Awantipora.

The internet services and telephone services of private phone operators  are suspended all across Kashmir to handle the situation and to ensure peace in the valley.  Earlier, two terrorists along with eight commanding officials got killed in an encounter that took place in Handwara. "Police last night launched an operation on a specific input at Beighpora. Senior officers are monitoring it since last night," a police official said without mentioning Naikoo.

Two terrorists have been killed by security forces in an operation in Pulwama's Beighpora. This makes four terrorists killed by us in 24 hours. The names of the terrorists are not being released. Weapons have been recovered: Colonel Aman Anand, Indian Army Spokesperson.

The identity of the other terrorists killed with him has not been revealed at the moment. At the same time, in the second encounter going on in Sharashali, 12 km from Avantipora, the security forces have killed three terrorists.

Encounters started once again between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the information received, the first encounter started late last night between the security forces and the militants in the Sharashi Khiru area of ​​Pulwama. It is reported that the security forces have piled up two terrorists here. The security forces had reported that 2 to 3 terrorists were hiding here.
