Now from the 31st October onwards Jammu & Kashmir has been officially bifurcated into Two Union Territories- Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. J&K is no longer an Indian State but Indian Government’s Two Union Territories. Near around after 3 months of Indian government’s abrogation of “Article 370” a temporary provision which gave special status to J&K, is no Longer a State now. The provision is now officially implemented & Two Union Territories have been formed officially in Constitution on 31st October 2019. NDA Government earlier in August month revoked the Article and bifurcated into two Union Territories which today laid the stone.
The two Union Territories today have become officially two Union Territories and this is on the birth anniversary of first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is credited with the merger of over 560 princely states into the Union of India. With the bifurcation of J&K, India now officially has 28 states and nine Union Territories. Whereas India has also convinced world community & oterh leading agencies in its favor over the Jammu & Kashmir issue. Now most of the countries pitch in India’s favour which is being termed as internal matter of India.
Following the creation of the two UTs, the President's rule imposed in undivided Jammu and Kashmir has been revoked. On 31/10/2019 the day has become historical as the fate of the People is expected to be changed with the help of Centre Government’s development programs. Earlier PM Modi led NDA government revoked the Article 370 status from Jammu & Kashmir that gave special status to the state. The state was officially bifurcated into two UTs legally passing reform in temporary act in both the houses. Following the abrogation of Article 370 from J&K resulted creation of the new two Union Territories. While J&K will have a legislature like Puducherry, Ladakh will not have one, like Chandigarh.
Later in Jammu & Kashmir Governer’s rule was enacted and now as per formation of New UTs the President's rule is no longer in UTs.
Supreme Court on J&K-
Based on the latest report- The hearings are on in Supreme Court over the creation of Jammu & Kashmir into two UTs. Supreme Court has given time to Centre Government to explain the situation and try to make normal. Chief justice-designate refuses to comment on UN remark that SC is slow to deal with Kashmir pleas:
