Emergency landing of Air Force aircraft will also be possible on Purvanchal Expressway being built in Uttar Pradesh. The airstrip has been prepared on Purvanchal Expressway. It has been built near Kurebhar village in Sultanpur, UP. This will help the country's military to land aircraft in case of emergency. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) of Uttar Pradesh, Avnish Awasthi said that the airstrip work has been completed. It is 3300 meters long.

All types of aircraft will be able to land on this airstrip. Soon the Indian Air Force will also test this airstrip. Plea earlier, airstrips have also been made on Yamuna Expressway and Agra-Lucknow Expressway, where trials have also been done.
It is being told that the Indian Air Force will be able to use the runways of the three expressways along with the Hindon and Agra airbases if needed. Purvanchal Express-Way will connect Delhi, the capital of the country, directly to Ghazipur via Mathura, Agra, Lucknow, Azamgarh.
