Inviting the Indian Prime Minister Modi to attend the G7 summit, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that he will be visiting India ahead of the summit. However, the dates of the visit is yet to be confirmed from either side.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Saturday said that he will visit India ahead of the G7 summit. Hailing the efforts made by the Government of India, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that India a pharmacy to the world supplies more than 50 percent of the world's vaccines and UK and India have worked closely together throughout the pandemic.
The United Kingdom will be hosting the G7 summit in June 2021. The UK has invited Australia, India, and South Korea as guest countries to the summit. The G7 summit to be held in the Cornwall region from June 11 to 13
Recently over a phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UK PM Boris Johnson canceled his visit to India on 26th January, a day when India celebrates its Republic Day.
Johnson was invited as the Chief Guest to the Republic Day event in New Delhi on the 26th of January which was canceled with mutual consent between the two leaders citing the new mutant SARS-CoV-2 virus in the United Kingdom.
