Lockdown Extension- Becoming the first state who extends the lockdown beyond April 14, Odisha Govt has extended it to April 30. On Thursday Odisha Govt took the decision to extend the lockdown till April 30 and became the first state to do so. Naveen Patnaik the Chief Minister of Odisha also urged Central Government to not allow Train and Air services till April 30. Though the Naveen Patnaik led Government has laid down the plan for Agriculture, Husbandry, MGNREGS servuces to be facilitated through social distancing.
Odisha state Government on April 9, extended the lockdown in state 16 more days to 30 April. Govt has also suspended all services till 30 April and Educational services till 17th June, the state Govt added. Odisha Government has also planned to conduct one lakh rapid tests in states.
Odisha on Thursday came out as first state officially extended the Lockdown at state level up to 30 April. All services, Institutions and coming out of people from home everything except essential and emergency services are suspended till April end. The Odisha state extended the nationwide lockdown which is ending on 14th of this month beyond amid Coronavirus outbreak in state.
Despite of low numbers 42 positive cases in Odisha state, Naveen Patnaik government on Thursday extended the Lockdown till 30 April. Educational Institutions to remain shut till 17 June 2020 in Odisha state government said.
In Odisha so far 42 Covid19 positive cases have been found and out of those one people have been died and 2 have been recovered. Odisha by announcing state level extension in lockdown became the first state where Lockdown is extended so far.
