On Friday Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotay Tshering tweeted ' This is what we call leadership' over PM Modi's initiative over Coronavirus. Bhutanese Prime Minister endorsed and warmly welcomed the decision suggested by PM Modi for the SAARC Countries. Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested the new initiative to fight against COVID19. Prime Minister urged leaders of all Asian countries to come together over fight against COVID19. Leaders of Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan & Mauritius extended their support to PM Modi’s strategy where Indian PM proposed to work jointly to SAARC nations. On Friday SAARC leaders endorse support and love to Modi's proposal of joint strategy against coronavirus. PM Lotay Tshering added warmth by saying ‘This is what we call leadership’ to PM Modi. Tshering added that as members of this region, we must come together in such times and smaller economies are hit harder, so we must coordinate.
Based on ANI reports Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier tweeted that ‘I would like to propose that the Leadership of SAARC nations chalk out a strong strategy to fight against Coronavirus. We would discussion via Video conferencing, ways to keep our citizens healthy’. Soon after the PM Modi’s tweet, Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotay Tshering responded and endorsed full support to PM Modi’s new initiative.

On other hand Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa Thanked PM Modi for the great initiative and said Sri Lanka is ready to join the discussion & share our learnings & best practices & to learn from other SAARC members. ‘Let's unite in solidarity during these trying times & keep our citizens safe’.
Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli also welcomed the idea advanced by PM Modi ji. Sri Lankan PM said Nepal thanks for chalking out a strong strategy by the leadership of the SAARC nations to fight Coronavirus and my government is ready to work closely with SAARC Member States to protect our citizens from this deadly disease.
Modi at video conference of all SAARC member countries,over COVID 19- PM Modi said 'I propose, we create a COVID19 emergency fund. This could be based on voluntary contributions from all of us. India can start with an initial offer of 10 million US dollars for this fund'.
Bhutan PM Lotay Tshering said 'I think it is very timely&would like to thank PM Modi for his excellent leadership to bring all of us together because togetherness is required at all times but when the world is fighting one common disease, it is very imp to leave behind our differences'
Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh said 'I thank PM Modi for taking this initiative. I also thank him for bringing and hosting 23 of our students from Wuhan (China) along with Indian students.
