Director of Aeronautical Development Agency, Girish Deodhare on Thursday claimed that the Indian Navy has shown interest in ADA's Twin Engined Deck Based Fighter aircraft (TEDBF). He has said that aircraft will outperform Mig-29k at all levels.
"Indian Navy is also very keen that we make an aircraft to replace MiG-29K with Twin Engine Deck Based Fighter (TEDBF). Now that we've technology available, we don't have to go outside for an aircraft for our carriers.", said Girish Deodhare, Director, ADA.

Girish Deodhare also said that future versions of HAL LCA Tejas will also replace IAF's 4th gen aircraft such as Mig-29 and Mirage 2000 in the coming future.

ADA Director also added, "It's a big catalyst for the country's aerospace ecosystem. Efforts gone in the making of LCA have borne fruit with 123 aircraft orders. The next plan is higher weight aircraft Mark 2, which will replace Mirage 2000. Mark 1 and Mark 1A are to replace MiG-21". This statement comes on the sidelines of Aero India 2021 which is currently taking place in Bengaluru.
