Lockdown 3: Services allowed in Red, Orange & Green Zones

The Central Government has further extended the lockdown for two more weeks tagging as Lockdown 3, to contain the spread of the contagious virus. Amending the Disaster Management Act para 11, MHA has allowed several services till lickdown 3 designating coyntry in three zones. Taking Covid19 report as base, Indian Govt on May 1st put lockdown 3 in the entire country with three zonal formula , red, orange and green based on the existing number of cases of the disease. The Covid19 cases are reaching a new height each day, as per MOHFW Report and considering it a pathway on Friday, MHA permitted services including in Red zones

At present, the cases have crossed 35000 mark with 1100 people reported to have died. In view of economic backlash, MHA gives certain relaxations have been given in the third edition of lockdown to the areas depending on the zones in which are lying. Air travel, inter- state road movement , train and metro services are not permitted in any zone amid this lockdown. Educational institutions, Hotels, cinema halls, pilgrimages and Malls will remain shut in all the zones to avoid large gatherings.

Services allowed in Red Orange & Green Zones

Barber shops and salons can operate in green and orange zones but are not permitted to open within red zone areas. Citizens are not allowed to come out of their houses from 7PM to 7 AM in all the zones. Citizens above the age of 65, small children below the age of 10 and pregnant women should stay inside in all the zones. 

Medical clinics and OPDs can resume their operations irrespective of the zones they are present in. Taxis and autos are allowed to ply on roads  with 1 passenger only in green and orange zones. Movement of buses across districts is permitted in orange and green zones with 50% of its capacity. 

Urban industries with access control will remain open. Standalone shops, neighborhood shops without any classification of essentials or non- essentials are permitted to resume their operations. Only essential goods can be bought via e- commerce sites in all the zones. Private and government offices will be allowed to operate in green and orange zones and only 33% of workforce is permitted in red zones.

Agricultural and plantation activities are permitted. Courier, postal and movement of goods is also allowed. Financial services providers like banks and NBFCs will remain open.
