Schools Re-opening: Class 10th and 12th Class students can be allowed to go to School in Karnataka

Karnataka Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar on Saturday said that technical advisory committee has submitted a detailed report on allowing Class 10 and Class 12 students to go to schools and colleges, ahead of the public examinations in 2021.

"Our technical advisory committee has given a report saying Class 10 & Class 12 students can be allowed to go to their schools & colleges as they will be facing public exams. Students can attend classes twice or thrice a week", said Dr. K Sudhakar, Karnataka Health Minister.

Schools are closed in Karnataka since February this year when Covid-19 pandemic infringed nationwide lockdown. Following the MHA guidelines states are allowed the authority to take decision on the re-opening of schools taking all precautionary measures.

Karnataka Chief Minister on Saturday hinted-out for the reopening of schools across the state for Classes 10 and 12 from January 1, 2021. Chief minister's decision was based on the recommendations by the Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee, which submitted its report on allowing class 10 and 12 students to attend classes, that had previously expressed an opinion in favour of the re-opening of schools. At first, we have decided to reopen schools for children preparing.

The Karnataka government on Saturday received the Committee's advisory report on reopening of schools and pre-university colleges of the state from January 1.
