Due to the Corona epidemic, this time the Republic Day parade will be different as compared to previous years. This year there will be many such things that will be showcased for the first time in the parade.
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, many changes have been made in this year's Republic Day celebrations. Seven things that will be different from the years passed by this time are mentioned below:
For the first time, a squad of the Bangladesh Army is joining the Republic Day Parade of India. The squad will march and parade as the band plays. This squad of Bangladesh will have 122 members. Earlier in 2016, France and in 2017, the UAE military squad had participated in the Republic Day Parade. These were the first two countries whose military contingents first participated in this parade.
Apart from this, Rafale fighter jets which joined the Indian Air Force in September last year will also take part in the parade for the first time. These jets have been purchased from France and India has so far received 8 out of the order of 36 Rafale fighter jets given to Dassault Aviation.
For the first time, a female fighter pilot is also participating in the parade. Flight Lieutenant Bhawana Kant is one of the first fighter pilots in India and will be included in the Air Force tableau. It will feature Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), and Sukhoi-30 fighters.
For the first time, the parade will include a tableau of the Union Territory of Ladakh. In the year 2019, Jammu and Kashmir were divided into two parts and made into two union territories. In addition to Thiksey Math in Ladakh tableau, the Indian Astronomical Observatory will also be shown.
