To mark National Panchayati Raj Day Prime Minister Modi is addressing the Gram Panchayats all across the country via Video Conferencing. Prime Minister started interaction wiith Village Sarpanches and address their views at ground level on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Diwas. Based on Govt sources PM Modi will also interact with various participants from Gram Panchayats including Sarpanches through video conferencing amid lockdown. Prime Minister will also launch a unified e-GramSwaraj Portal and Mobile App on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Diwas. The Unified Portal will be a new initiative of the Panchayati Raj Ministry which will provide the Gram Panchayats a single interface to prepare and implement their development plan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address village Panchayats across the country today to mark the National Panchayati Raj Day. Earlier on Wednesday Prime Minister tweeted that during the video conference on the 24th, thee-GramSwaraj Portal and Mobile App would be launched.’
The Swamitva Scheme would also be launched, which would add momentum to the efforts to alleviate poverty in rural areas. PM will also interact with Gram Sarpanches today through video conferencing as per schedule. Based on the AIR Correspondent report PM Modi will also launch the Swamitva Scheme which provides for a Through the Constitution (73rd Amendment) Act-1992, the Panchayati Raj integrated property validation solution for rural India.

The National Panchayati Raj Day is being celebrated every year on April 24 This came into force on 24th April 1993 marking a defining moment in the history of decentralization of power to the grassroots in the country. As the country is going through a testing time amid COVID-19 pandemic, on this occasion the PM Narendra Modi has decided to address the Gram Panchayats via video conferencing.
Through the Constitution (73rd Amendment) Act-1992, the Panchayati Raj Day is being celebrated, in the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi.
