PM Review meeting Highlights- Using mask Modi held video conferencing with CMs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held review meeting with Chief Ministers of state. Using home made face mask PM Modi held meeting with CMs via video conferencing over Covid19. Maintaining the Social Distancing at PM House, Prime Minister discussed the situation of Coronavirus and lockdown implications with Chief Ministers of all states. As per sources PM in his third review meeting interacted with Chief Ministers from Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and all other states. Accompanying Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Prime Minister interacted in third review meeting began at 11 AM. PM also hinted that there can be declared three zones in country- Red Zone, Yellow zone and Green Zone.

Prime Minister using home made mask interacted in Video conference review meeting on Saturday. Beginning at 11am on Saturday Prime Minister discussed elaborately on new strategies and tactics required to tackle Covid19 pandemic. Based on sources PM also brought Aarogya Setu app and it's use for tracking and tracing of Covid19 cases. PM urges Chief Ministers and reiterated to put forward the Aarogya App in 3rd review meeting.

Highlights of PM Review Meeting-

On several points Prime Minister reiterated including Social Distancing, Supply of essential services and overall support given by citizens from various states. Prime Minister also brought up the review on Lockdown and it's extension. In Review meeting all State Chief Ministers and Governors from Union Territories participated in video conferencing.

For small businesses & Industries-

One big announcement is also reflected to come out in Prime Minister's address that small businesses and industries to be allowed functioning during extension of lockdown.

Chief Minister of Haryana and Punjab have hinted that Prime Minister agreed to the functioning of small businesses and industries to resume work staying inside offices. Punjab CM Amrinder Singh said that Prime Minister may permit these businesses to run.

Focusing on social distancing Prime Minister urged to increase use of Aarogya App formed for social distancing tracking and tracing. PM also urged Chief Ministers to support all needy including poors, workers to encourage them by sending food and other required items

Central Government also urged to help financially the needy ones across all states and Union territories. All Cheif Ministers supported the Central Government for taking initiatives including transferring relief in Jan Dhan Accounts. Real time reports from sources-

State wise suggestions and demands to PM-

  1. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray suggested to increase lockdown up to 30 April.
  2. Delhi Chief Minister suggested to extend Lockdown nationwide. CM Arvind Kejriwal said nationwide lockdown should be extended to 30 April, ANI reported. CM added that no transport should be allowed during lockdown.
  3. Several other Chief Ministers urged Prime Minister to extend the complete Lockdown.
  4. Chief Minister of Punjab, Amrinder Singh said Lockdown should be extended atleast by a fortnight. CM asked special concession for Agriculture and Industry sectors urgently. CM Amrinder Singh said rapid kits also to be supplied urgently.
  5. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee asked for relief package for people of WB. Decision on lockdown should be considered on humanity basis.
  6. During meeting several CMs by consent agreed to extend lockdown by April 30.
  7. Governments have asked for relief packages and medical facilities including ventilators, PPE kits, Masks and tablets.

Earlier Union Home Ministry has sought views of State governments on various aspects, including Lockdown extension, whether more categories of people and services need to be exempted. In the current 21 days lockdown only essential services are exempted amid lockdown. This is for the third time the Prime Minister is interacting with the Chief Ministers via video link after the lockdown.

Decision on Lockdown-

However there are some reports coming that Prime Minister will likely take the decision on lockdown in next coming hours. In meeting several Cheif Ministers gave thier consent on extending of Lockdown. Prime Minister has hinted to declare three zones- Red Zone, Yellow zone and Green zone. Prime Minister likely to address the nation in coming days before April 14.
