Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Serum Institute of India in Pune on November 28 to review the Covid vaccine production and distribution preparation here, said Saurabh Rao, Divisional Commissioner of Pune.

According to a report published in The Hindu, the Serum Institute of India (SII) is expecting the results of the clinical trials of the COVID-19 vaccine candidate 'Covishield' by January. The Pune-based vaccine manufacturer is expected to produce 50 million to 60 million doses of the vaccine candidate developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University every month, the report adds.
