Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) schemem, the Prime Minister enables the transfer of more than Rs.18,000 crore to over 9 crores beneficiary farmer families across the country. PM Modi goes live at 12 noon on friday through the Video conferencing and interacts with the farmers. This is the second interaction of Prime Minister with the farmers amid ongoing protest against three Farm Laws, passed in parliament this year.

About PM-KISAN Nidhi Scheme for the Farmers
KISAN Nidhi scheme is an initiative by the government of India in which all farmers will get up to ₹6,000 per year as minimum income support. The initiative was to be announced by Piyush Goyal during the 2019 interim Union Budget of India on 1st February 2019.
Central Government implemented the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on 1st of December, 2018. The Centre is facilitating the poor.
