PM Modi in CII Annual Session 2020: Aatmanirbhar Bharat to Economic bounceback, Highlights of the Conference

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the Annual Session of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to mark its 125 years since its inception in 1895. PM in virtual conference with CII members stressed on Aatmanirbhar Bharat & to bring back Country's growth back. Over CII's role in developing nation Prime Minister also suggested Industries to collaborate with rural livelihood and farmers for the mutual benefit. Speaking over the local products he said, in strategic areas the country need to be self-reliant.

Our industries should work on products which come under Made in India, Made for World. The country now needs to manufacture products which are 'Made in India' but are 'Made for the World', said Prime Minister Modi in conference.

PM Modi in CII Annual Session Highlights

On Tuesday PM Modi shared his vision on 'Getting Growth Back' with representatives of the corporate world during CII 125th Annual Session. Among top highlights of the PM Modi's address to CII, PM asked to take oath to make India Aatmanirbhar. Govt is standing with you, you need to stand with the goals of the country. In his address PM said in around ₹200 crore of purchases done by the government, global tenders have been removed to boost small-scale industries. PM also said the country now needs to manufacture products which are 'Made in India' and are 'Made for the World'. I request you to come up with detailed study of different sectors. He invited India Industries for active participation for the AatmNirbhar Bharat.

Getting back on track is highest priority for govt and getting growth back is not that tough, PM Modi said during CII Annual conference.

PM Modi said the pandemic has affected every single sector but India has made sure that its industries are ready to weather the fallout and claw its way back towards prosperity.

5 Is needed for self-reliant India: PM

PM Modi said Intent, Inclusion, Infrastructure, Innovation and Investment are very important along with important bold decisions that have taken to bolster the economy. These five things are important to speed up India's development and make it 'atmanirbhar'. You will get a glimpse of these in the bold decisions recently taken by us, said PM Narendra Modi.

PM Modi said that India will again come out on top and get its growth back and strengthen the economy. The PM said that Unlock 1 will pave the path towards growth and take the first steps towards prosperity.

Re-strengthening economy against Corona is one of our highest priorities. For this, the government has taken immediate decisions. We have also taken decisions which will help the country in the long run.

Now we have to invest in the creation of a Robust Local Supply Chain that strengthens India's stake in the Global Supply Chain. In this campaign, a big institution like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will also have to come forward in a new role post-Corona.
