Rajpipla: An unknown person tried to sell the Statue of Unity for 30,000 on OLX in Gujrat, police have registered a (First Information Report) FIR against that unknown people. The Statue of Unity is the pride of India but someone tried to sell it on OLX for Rs 30,000. Someone had spread an advertisement for selling the statue to meet the government expense of the hospitals and medical infrastructure to fight the coronavirus outbreak.
The Statue of Unity is a colossal statue of Indians. Most of the tourist usually come to India to see it. This is the memorial statue and an unknown person who has tried to sell it on OLX, most of the people who idolize Sardar Patel hurt the sentiments of the several crore people.
This was inaugurated by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gujrat, it also the medium of earning money, soon after it was posted, the advertisement was taken off the website.
The Inspector PT Chaudhary has said that the memorial's authorities came to know of the issue after a newspaper ran an article and approached the police. It was the cheating and forgery case was registered under IPC, Epidemic Diseases Act, and Information Technology Act.
The chief administrator of the Statue of Unity said that except the Statue of Unity no other government's property and other assets are on OLX to an advertisement for selling. This kind of advertisement that has been published on OLX has been hurt crore people who idolize Sardar Patel and want that Statue not to sell.
