Two years ago, on 27 February 2019, Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhaman had crossed the Pakistan border in pursuit of Pakistani aircraft which entered the Indian border. He was released two days later on 1 March.
According to Pakistani media, now a video of Abhinandan has been released, which was never seen before, in this video, he is talking about peace between the two countries and is saying that the difference between the two cannot be seen. However, it could not be confirmed whether this video is new or old & the authenticity of its truth is also suspected by looking at the editing done in it.
In the video, Abhinandan says- "I saw two countries from a parachute while coming down from above. I did not know the difference between the two, both are equally beautiful. When I fell down, I did not know whether I was in Pakistan or in my country Hindustan, both countries looked the same. I was hurt deep enough and I was unable to move."
He further said, "I tried to know where I am. When I found out that I was not in my country, I tried to run away. People came after me and their enthusiasm was very high and they wanted me to catch them.
He adds, "Then two Pakistani Army soldiers came, they caught me and saved me." A captain rescued me from these men and took me to the unit hospital where First Aid was given to me. Investigations were done there and Aid was given, since then I am here with your kindness. ' Abhinandan says, "What is happening with Kashmiri, you neither know nor do I know, We should think calmly. The video further praises the acclamation of the Pakistani army and talks of peace between the two countries. He says, 'Pak Army is professional, I am very impressed by their elegance. A fight occurs when there is no peace. I do not know what to do to bring peace, I know that there must be 'Aman'.
"I see no reason why we should proceed with any enmity. I want peace to prevail in our country and we can live in peace" added Wing Commander Abhinandan.
Earlier, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran had also tweeted that the incident was a victory for Pakistan.
He wrote, 'I congratulate the entire country and my army for two years of India's illegal military airstrike on Pakistan. As a proud and confident nation, we responded strongly in our own time and place. By returning the imprisoned pilot, we showed the responsible attitude of Pakistan to the world in the face of the irresponsible military instability of India.'
Imran further wrote - 'I welcome restoration of the ceasefire along the LOC. The onus of creating an enabling environment for further progress rests with India. India must take necessary steps to meet the long-standing demand & right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination acc to UNSC resolutions.'
