'Minister made us wait for hours, an insult of farmers' said Union Leader after 11th round's meeting

After the 11th rounds of meeting between farmers and centre over, Union leaders allege govt for making them wait for hours and call as an insult of the farmers. Here is a report on the meeting that took place on Friday.

On Friday, the 11th rounds of meeting between Centre govt and farmer union leaders took place in Vigyan Bhavan Delhi. After the meeting was over Union leaders allege govt for making them wait for hours and call as an insult to the farmers.

"The minister made us wait for three & a half hours. This is an insult to farmers. When he came, he asked us to consider the govt's proposal & said that he is ending the process of meetings", said SS Pandher from Kisan Mazdoor Sangarsh Committee. He further added that the agitation will continue peacefully.

On being asked about the Tractor rally on 26th January,  Rakesh Tikait, Spokesperson of Bhartiya Kisan Union said that the tractor rally will take place on January 26.

According to Farmer Union Leader Rakesh Tikait, during the 11th round of meetings, the government offered to put the implementation of the farm laws on hold for two years and said that the next round of meetings can take place only if farmers unions are ready to accept the proposal.

According to the official sources, the 11th round meeting has ended inconclusively and no date has been announced for the next round of meeting with the farm leaders.
