Mamata Banerjee hits back at Amit Shah, claimed she never called the trains 'Corona Express'

While addressing West Bengal Jan Samvad Rally yesterday, Home Minister Amit Shah criticised West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for doing politics in this crucial situation when country is fighting against pandemic CoronaVirus.

Now today in response to Shah, Trinamool Congress Supremo Banerjee gave some hard-hitting replies over allegations made on her by Shah. Today Banerjee has claimed that all the allegations by Shah are baseless and it was not her but the public who called it Corona Express.

"11 lakh migrant labourers have returned to the state already, 30 thousand are yet to come. I never called the trains 'Corona Express', it was the public who called it that", said Banerjee.

While addressing the virtual rally Shah alleged that UP has received 1700 trains, Bihar 1500 and he was astonished when Banerjee named trains that were coming to Bengal 'Corona Express.

"We had named it 'Shramik Special' train. The name 'Corona Express' that you have given, Mamata didi, will become your exit route. You've added salt to the wounds of the migrant workers and they will not forget this," Shah stated during Jan Samvad Rally.

Banerjee has been very vocal and continuously targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government. Previously, she lashed out at BJP for doing politics while the whole world is dealing with pandemic COVID 19. Targetting PM Narendra Modi led BJP, CM Banerjee claimed that she never made any statement on dethroning Modi from the Central government. But she felt bad some political parties are talking about removing Banerjee and her party Trinamool Congress from West Bengal.
