Karl Rock Blacklisted: New Zealand origin YouTuber, Karl Rock has been temporarily banned from entering India till 2022 for violating multiple visa norms, official sources revealed on Saturday.
Sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the vlogger, was found engaging in business activities on a tourist visa, which violates the terms and conditions of his X-2 visa and hence been barred from entering India for a year and Karl's visa has been canceled as well by the government.
Karl Rock, whose birth name is Karl Edward Rice, on Friday said that the Indian government had last year canceled his visa without giving him any appropriate reasons for why he was "blacklisted" after he left India to travel to Dubai and then Pakistan.
Karl Rock's youtube channel has over 1.79 million subscribers had on July 9 posted a video captioned 'Why I Haven't Seen My Wife in 269 Days #Blacklist".
"Today we are filing a petition in the high court asking for my name to be removed from the blacklist. In the Delhi High Court," he said in the video.
Karl Rock further added, "I left India to go travel Dubai and Pakistan in October 2020, and upon leaving they canceled my visa at the airport. They wouldn't tell me why. So in Dubai, I applied for a new visa. They called me in for a meeting and told me I had been blacklisted and therefore they couldn't issue me a visa to go home."
For the information of viewers, Karl Rock married an Indian national 'Manisha Malik' in 2019 and since then, he has been living in Delhi.
