Let us tell you that in 1999, a bloody war was fought between India and Pakistan on the hilltops of Kargil, Ladakh. The Pakistani Northern Light Infantry (Disguised as militants) had infiltrated and occupied many strategic heights on the Indian side of LOC, but the Indian Army with support from IAF gave a befitting reply to Pakistan. The limited conflict that started in May was ended by July, PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee declared victory on 26 July 1999.
