Jaish-e-Mohammed's arrested terrorist Hidayat Ullah Malik revealed during interrogation that he had scouted the office of National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval at the behest of the Pakistani handler. He intended to harm the NSA. After this, the security of Doval's office and home has been increased.
According to recent reports, the terrorist made a video of several places in Delhi including Sardar Patel Bhavan. Malik was arrested by J&K Police on 6 February from Shopian in southern Kashmir. An FIR is lodged against him at Gangyal police station in Jammu. He is the head of Jaish's advance group Lashkar-e-Mustafa.
During interrogation, Malik said that he had come from Srinagar to Delhi on 24 May 2019. He made a video of the NSA's office and WhatsApp was the Pakistani handler. He then returned to Kashmir by bus. He also visited the Samba sector border area in 2019. He was accompanied by Sameer Ahmad Dar.
Malik confessed that he, along with three Jaish terrorists Irfan Chump, Umar Mushtka, and Rais Mustafa, looted a cash van of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Shopian in November 2020. Malik also gave the names, codenames, and phone numbers of his contacts in Pakistan.
According to the report, the terrorist also told about his background. He joined Hizbul Mujahideen on 31 July 2019. Prior to that, he worked for Jaish. Joined JEM in February 2020 and formed its organization in August the same year.
