Israel will be helping India with technology to combat corona, says Foreign Ministry

India and Israel have announced their unprecedented venture to battle COVID 19 by sharing technological developments of Israel with India. The Israel’s Embassy in India announces that in coming weeks, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Health will lead an unprecedented anti-Covid-19 cooperation between India and Israel. The Israeli embassy received India’s help and now considers this as a return during pandemic situation.

“In the coming weeks, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Israel Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Health will lead an unprecedented anti-Covid 19 cooperation n between India and Israel,” the embassy tweeted. Israeli Technology will be merging with the Indian developments and productions to allow better resumption of normal life alongside corona virus. The Israeli will bring Israeli Technology to combat COVID -19 which was donated by Israeli MFA to resume normal functioning in the country. The plane will deliver mechanical ventilators through a special permission. A team of Israeli R&D researchers will also arrive in New Delhi, who have been working with DRDO scientists to develop a rapid Covid-19 testing kit which will give a result in 30 seconds.

It can be learned from past years that visits of Prime Ministers have bonded this strategic development and relations. Since the pandemic, PM Benjamin Netanyahu and PM Narendra Modi have held three telephonic conversations promising assistance in dealing with the corona situation with technological developments and scientific research’s.  
“A special planned flight from Tel Aviv to New Delhi is set to carry a high ranking Ministry of Defence, R&D team which has been working with India’s chief scientist K. Vijay Raghavan and DRDO to develop rapid testing for #Covid_19 in under 30 seconds,” it said in another tweet.

“In the first outbreak of Covid-19 in Israel, India gave Israel special authorization to acquire medicine, masks & protective gear. Now, Israel is proud to reciprocate this significant gesture & grant authorization for purchasing of respirators to its great friend in the east,” the embassy said in another tweet.

Israel’s Covid-19 tally stands at over 56,000 out of which more than 23,000 have recovered and 433 have died. India established diplomatic relations with the State of Israel in 1992 and has since become Israel's strongest ally in Asia. Co-operation has taken place in the space sector as well with India launching Israeli satellites. India became the top source market for Israel from Asia in 2010 with 41,000 tourist arrivals in that year. According to an international opinion survey conducted in 2009 on behalf of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, India is the most pro-Israel country in the world.
