Indian Govt has prioritized 30 crore people for Covid Vaccine, says Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan

Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Monday said that Indian Government has prioritized nearly 30 crore people including health workers, frontline workers and persons above 50 years for Covid vaccine.

Making a reiteration on the Covid vaccine distribution Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Monday said that the Centre govt has prioritized nearly 30 Crore people across the country for initial phase.

"Govt has prioritized 30 crore people for Covid Vaccine. It includes health workers, frontline workers like police, military & sanitation staff. Vaccine will also be given to persons above 50 years and those who suffering from certain diseases", Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan says while interacting with the Media personnel.

Commenting on the effectiveness, Union Minister said that the COVID19 vaccine introduced in India will be as effective as any vaccine developed by other countries. Speaking over the authorization of Pfizer vaccine for the emergency use, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said that the regulators are looking into emergency use authorization sought by the Pfizer for Covid-19 vaccine in India.
