India COVID-19 Cases Feb 1, 2022: In the 24 hours ending 8 a.m. Tuesday, India registered nearly 1.67 lakh new Covid-19 cases, as well as 1,192 COVID-19 related deaths, an increase from 959 on Monday—according to data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. With this, India's total caseload has surpassed 4.14 crore, while the death toll has surpassed 4.96 lakh.
India COVID-19 Positivity Rate Feb 1, 2022: The daily COVID-19 positivity rate was recorded at 11.69 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 15.25 percent, according to the health ministry.

On Tuesday, more than 2.54 lakh recoveries were reported, bringing the recovery rate to 94.60 percent. The number of active cases currently stands at 17,43,059, accounting for 4.20 percent of all cases. 166.68 crore Covid-19 vaccines have been administered to date. Seventy-five percent of India's adult population has been fully immunized against the virus.
