Ministry of Information and Broadcast on Wednesday (22 April, 2020) issued notice to all the media persons who have been covering the covid-19 infected areas. I&B Ministry advisory states that all media houses, Electronic meda agencies should take precautions. Ministry asserted specially to electronic media houses who report news from Covid19 hotspots, containment zones etc. On other hand Delhi Government has also asked all Electronic media agencies to test screening of media personnels working in Offices.
The ministry has issued advisory to all the print and electronic media houses, and asked media persons who are covering or have covered incidents related covid-19 cases and are travelling to covid-19 contaminated areas, hotspots and other affected regions to take some health and related precautions while performing duties.
In the notice issued, the management of media houses is also asked to take steps to ensure safety of the field workers as well as staff office.
The covid-19 cases have increased nearly to 20,000 in India. Maharashtra remains the worst affected state with 5,218 cases and 251 casualties. The other states that have seen the greatest number of cases include Gujarat (2,178), Delhi (2,156), Tamil Nadu (1,596), Rajasthan (1,659), Madhya Pradesh (1,552), Uttar Pradesh (1294) and Telangana (928).

Media persons are covering incidents relating to COVID19 in the country involving travel to containment zones, hotspots&other affected areas.
