According to the team of Geological Survey of India, there is 646.15 kg gold reserves in Hardi area of Sonbhadra while 2943.25 tonnes of gold has been confirmed in Son hill in Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has also constituted a seven-member team for auction of blocks through e-tendering as Gold mine found in U.P. In Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, the matter of getting more than three thousand tons of gold reserves has been revealed. The amount of this gold can be estimated from the fact that India can be included in the top-3 countries of the world after getting this reserves. The total value of this gold reserves of 3,350 tonnes is being reported up to about Rs. 12 lakh crore.
According to a report by the World Gold Council, at present, India has a stock of about 626 tonnes of gold, while according to media reports, the gold found in Sonbhadra district is about 5 times more. The mining department of the state has detected this gold mine and soon the work of extracting this gold will be started. The Geological Survey of India (GSI) team had been working here for the last 15 years, which in 2012 itself confirmed the gold inside the land. Now the state government has started the e-auction process to sell gold, showing speed on it.

Germany has a total gold reserves of 3366.8 tonnes. Italy is ranked third in gold reserve with 2451.8 tonnes of gold. That is, India, called the golden bird of ancient times, now after this huge gold reserves of Sonbhadra, can overtake Italy and come in third place.
