In the worst clash between Indian Army and Chinese soldiers in over five decades, India lost 20 of its soldiers in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley region on Monday night, reported western media. According to several media outlets it has been elaborated that the Chinese side has also suffered heavy casualties of over 40 soldiers, some reports add.
According to media report “Chinese PLA provoked the "Indian nationalist tiger" by engaging in a face-off with Indian Army personnel in which 20 soldiers were killed, according to US media, News Agency ANI quoted. The biggest military confrontation in over five decades that has significantly escalated the already volatile border standoff in the region, Aljazeera reports.

Following the clash between two nuclear-armed neighbors, the first reaction came from United States on Tuesday which states “US is closely monitoring' India- China border issue and extends support for peaceful resolution.”
