It’s very glad to know you that the ratio between girls and boys in Education in India is left behind in the history books, now this generation is changing many things in many fields. Indian president Ram Nath Kovind on Friday said that this is the first time in India that the number of girls ratio is higher than boys in getting higher education. In his speech delivered in joint sitting with both the houses of Parliament President said that the data shows Girls ratio is higher than the boys in Higher Education field in India.
Several Schemes for Girl’s Education that were launched by Indian government has improved the lifestyle of women. At the level of central government schemes including ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, ‘Sukanya Samridhhi Yojana’, ‘Balika Samriddhi Yojana’, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Scholarship Scheme / Policy for Girl Education, National Scheme of Incentives to Girls for Secondary Education and many more. Through this schemes many girls have fulfill there dreams. In 2020 government have the budget more than Rs 37,000 crore has been sanctioned for modernization of 75 educational institutions in the country through the Higher Education Funding Agency in the Central level.
State Governments have also done at their level, states which once had very backward in the education field that state having special schemes like Andhra Pradesh & Telangana – Girl Child Protection Scheme, Tamil Nadu – Sivagami Ammaiyar Memorial girl child protection scheme, Ladli Laxmi Yojana in ( Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, etc.) and many more schems for other state and for Muslim students (minoraties) have been granted Scholarships to enable them to continue their education without interruption.
In 2020 government has taken action for appointment of about 7,000 teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas and 12,000 teachers in higher education institutions, not only this government has also focussud on online education system. In the field of medical education and healthcare, govt. has announced to opening new 75 medical colleges these year which will result in an increase the opportunity to MBBS students gets about 16,000 seats and more than 4,000 seats for PG. Constructions of these Institutes in various parts of the country is on and total Twenty Two AIIMS are being built in India.
As we know that Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh is now the part of India so, President Kovind said that there also, Government to establish the Institutes for higher education such as IIT, IIM, AIIMS and some of them are in progress. All the people are not similar, or not educate their Girl child, but the recent data shows that numbers of those people restricting their girl from Higher Education are decreasing now. Each and every Girl has some talent, President said about the recently released data.
