Farmers' Protest: Will take part in the Republic Day parade, if demands not met, leader warns govt ahead of the meeting

Farmer leader on Thursday said that if farmers demand not met in meeting, then this will lead to the participation of farmers in the Republic Day parade. However, leader Rakesh Tikat said that he is hopeful of talks between farmers and govt, called on Thursday.

We are hopeful that the talks will be productive. If our demands are not met then the farmers will take part in the Republic Day parade held in Delhi, said Farmer leader Rakesh Tikat at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.

Farmer leaders have reached to the Vigyan Bhawan for their meeting with the government over controversial farm laws. As per ANI report, 40 farmer union leaders are present at Vigyan Bhawan for talks with the government on farm laws. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has also left for the Vigyan Bhawan.

Due to the farmers' protest Traffic has been disrupted in several parts of Delhi due to use of barricades specially in adjecent border areas.
